Today, I was required (because of my job) to attend a class. I thought I signed up for Domestic Violence Class, However, I was sadly informed it was a Sexual Assault Class. I would not of attended, had I known it was that type of class because of my past. We were all discussing how often people don't report sexual assault because of fear, embarrassment, etc. I didn't realize how many people just don't report it. I personally never reported mine because I thought that I had done something wrong. I was 16 at the time and my friend and her mom had me convinced that it couldn't of happened. I knew it did, but they were against me, so I figured that my own mother would be against me too. I NOW know that I should of done something because that asshole is still walking the streets probably doing it to several more girls.

While taking this class and watching the videos of people that were hurt, I felt horrible. It literally brought me back to that horrible day. I HATED IT. But, I learned a lot. I'm not really sure how many of you have been sexually assaulted, but I hope that y'all went forth and turned the guy/gal in. The whole process is so trying for someone that was assaulted. Having to tell in detail to thousands of people about your experience is trying and very hard emotionally. Not to mention the people that will tell you that you are mistaking, that the son of a bitch didn't hurt you, that really you wanted it. I say, if you are in this position, Screw everyone else and fight for yourself and make that bastard go to prison where HE will get raped by hundreds of guys!!

Just wanted to tell everyone about the trying day that I have had. :(

Please people... feel free to discuss sexual assault here.

Do you think the state is right for not considering a female raping a man as rape? Females can NOT be charged for rape in the state of Georgia. They can be charged with Sodomy against a male or female, but not rape. Whats you thoughts on that?

Wait... you're serious? I can understand that a female can't be charged with statutory rape. What 17 year old isn't going to want to have sex with a 30 year old teacher?

But statutory rape is statutory rape. While I think that is one sided, sexual assault and stat. rape is a big problem. It's not the act that scars, it's the psychological trauma and the everlasting resentment that hurts.

Did you also know that a 12 yo having sex with a 12 yo (both consensual) is illegal and they BOTH can go to jail. Its also consider statutory rape. Basically everything before 16 is considered statutory.

Im not sure about the teacher and child.. Im pretty sure that is called child molesting and statutory rape. What I was talking about earlier was Sexual Assault/Rape. Not statutory rape.

Well I guess that is part of my point... Can they be charged with statutory if they can't be charged with assault/rape?

I guess though, it's a lot harder to prove the man wasn't into wanting it. If a man is fearing for his life, he's not going to be sexually excited.

But, at the same time, your body can do the natural thing even though you are scared shit less and being raped. Some females actually have an orgasm while being raped. (I didn't- but some do). Its NOT because they wanted it, its just because their body did the natural thing even though their mind was shouting stop.

So I think a man could get excited but still NOT want it. I think the law should be updated a little.

Here is the law (for Georgia) on statutory rape:

Statutory Rape Law
(Per OCGA 16-6-3)
In Georgia, you can go to jail for having sex! The law states:
 • If you have sexual intercourse with any person under the age of 16 years, you will have committed statutory rape.
 • A person 21 years of age or older convicted of statutory rape shall be imprisoned for a minimum of ten and up to 20 years.
 • A person age 17-20 convicted of statutory rape shall be imprisoned for one to 20 years.
 • If the victim is 14 or 15 years of age and the person convicted is no more than three years older than the victim, the person shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
 • It does not matter if you are male or female.
 • It does not matter if you are unaware of the victim's age.
 • It does not matter if the sex is consensual.

Its probably a good thing most women don't report "sexual assult" because most of the time its their own faults anyways...like, "oh I had sex with this guy but now I really regret it and in hindsight he mighta been pressuring me so waaaah he assulted me lets lock him away in prison" So yeah, sexual assult laws are way too strict.

That is not the case with most women/girls...it is pressuring in many cases. They just dont report it cause they feel/are made to feel as if it is their fault. It is never a good thing for anyone man or woman to not report it. It should always be done if thats the case...or even if thats how they felt about it. Granted i know sometimes there are cases when people call "rape" when its not...or when its just a drunken night...but there are just as many cases when it is truly rape/sexual assult

But you've got to love those cases where Johnny had sex with Sally, Sally's parent found out and are mad so now its suddenly rape and Johnny's life is ruined and he has to now let the world know that he's a sexual predetor. There's a million different ways it can happen and rest assured, it happens more often than you think. Sure many sexual predetors are sick people, but many of them also have done nothing wrong.

Wow, This is the exact reason why females DONT report it. Its because condescending assholes think like this. Yes, there are a few girls that cry rape, but the ones that actually are getting raped are getting treated badly from people like you because of that. Do you think that is fair?

How would you like to have a gun pointed in your face and be told that if you didnt suck some guys penis, then he was gonna blow your head off... What do you think you would of done? More than likely you are gonna tell me that you would of ran or hit him.. But think about it, you have a gun pointed to your head, and a cracked out psycho is saying that he is going to shoot you if you don't suck his nasty smelly penis.. You would more than likely suck it unless you want to die.

hM, interesting. So naturally because of my standpoint I must be a rapist myself, I love nothing more than gross oversimplifications. Of course if I have a gun to my head I'm going to suck his penis, but c'mon, its just a penis. People make way too big of a deal of such matters, I mean, [trying to keep from being graphic] if some guy bends me over and does the nasty against my will then sure I'll be mad but its just flesh, such things are only as powerful as your mind chooses to let them be.
Maybe its just me, but its not that big of a deal.

there are way more things involved then the physical scars of being sexually assaulted. the emotional ones are usually the ones that take much longer to heal.

it is not "just flesh", it a human body.... and one that does not belong to a sexual assaulter

hmmm, have you had your bung hole packed before? lol umm.. Im sure its not pleasant. Im sure you would feel violated.

Per statistics, There is only 2% of men that actually report a sexual assault. Its mainly because of them feeling less like a man. Mostly because if anyone were to find out, they would think that you probably just got caught and cried rape. So, most men just dont report it.

I understand what you mean by some girls cry rape. But there are more people out there that AREN'T lying about it. These are people that have sexual intercourse against their will. Some get pregnant, some get STD's.. It is a big deal!

So if that man that just came into your mouth had aids, would you still say its not that big of a deal?

Its not always a matter of just flesh sometimes its a matter of innocence lost and trust lost forever.its a matter of what belongs to you being taken away forcefully...a matter of what belongs to you to give to someone of your choosing...having that right ripped from your hands...ripped from your life

I think it's just you, and you may want to look in to that.

Skin or not, it's been shown that these kinds of actions are traumatizing and often life altering. Perhaps it's just flesh to you. Or maybe you don't know what you're saying. I can't tell.

Well, granted, if I was given a mouth full of aids there would be a lot more complications...

I mean no disrespect by this, but most of what you said seems just like typical romanticization of one's body. A body is just a husk, a tool to be used. If someone borrows your tools without permission and puts it back sure you can be mad, but its not that big of a deal...but if they break your tools then they must pay dearly for it. At least, thats how I see it.

That's the absolute dumbest, most ignorant thing I've ever heard on the internet. And I read CNN every day.
