any views

seems to me they already have a distinct cultural society/identity

economic independence will be expensive and in my opinion a regressive step

They have nothing to gain...but will lose the benefits.
Not sure how the laws work there...but if they have been forced to take on a lot of immigrants and have to tip toe while they do it..they could be sick of the entire PC mess.
I havent been keeping up on it and not sure what their reasons are...but personally I don't see anything wrong with the UK in general/ One of the more advanced places on the globe.

I'd love to see how Scotland can cope on their own, whether they're able to look after themselves, govern themselves, and maintain their own country instead of being part of government that's led from another country. Give them the chance to prove themselves capable of being independent, if they screw up and become worse off then they'll either struggle through it until it gets better or they'll ask for help - but I doubt they'll ask for help, they'll never be as bad as Greece.

I wonder how much oil and gas is left in the north sea, their economy would suffer if they split and the revenues from natural resources might not be what they think, especially if investors pull out
