Science Saved My Soul.....................

I find that passage interesting as well but I don't believe they were ET's. Truth is, who knows? From what I've read it seems to me that for the most part they were demons sent from satan to pollute the already perfect DNA that he knew would one day produce the one being that would inevitably destroy him. I guess this is a great example of how most text in the bible can be taken out of context,....it's easy to understand how anybody who doesn't already believe in God OR satan would interpret a passage such as this one in a whole different light.

In Genesis 1:28 we read "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth". REPLENISH it!! Replenish means to fill up again....so what does that tell you?

So, you don't believe Adam and Eve were the first people on earth? Interesting. Why did the Bible skip ot all the important civilisations that came before them then and why did they die out? Was that another of gods fuck ups where he decided to kill everyone and start again?

The bible is not a history, geography or science book. Anyone looking to it for these things is going to be very disappointed.

What fulfilled prophecies?

I agree that the Bible is not a history, geography or science book. However, I do believe that there are a lot of things written in the Bible that tell us about each of those topics. These things have been disputed, researched and investigated by some of the world's most well known skeptics, scholars, scientists, and archaeologists and have not been proven as inaccurate.

That is pretty amazing considering the Bible we know of was written by forty different people in a span of at least 1500 years. And none of the authors contradict each other or themselves - whether it is about history, geography, science or prophecy.

There are well over one hundred fulfilled prophecies in the Bible. I'm going to cheat here by pulling some away from the before mentioned source. I just want to remain accurate and am unable to remember all of them myself. These are some regarding Jesus.

I don't know Peter, perhaps it was meant to be a fresh start, a new beginning if you will. I don't know everything, but I do know that Adam and Eve were created for a specific reason BY God, before that was perhaps what led Him to .....us.

Sadie, Sadie, Sadie... If you *know* A&E was created by God for a specific reason, don't cop out and say you don't know what the reason is. ;)

There are lots of historical inaccuracies in the bible. For example, the daytime darkness and rising saints when Jesus was supposedly crucified are mythological events. They were not recorded by true historians who lived during that time period. The bible is not a history book. It is folklore.

The bible is not scientifically accurate either. Here's a couple examples. Hares do not chew the cud (Lev 11:6). And the creation events in Genesis conflict with the order of events known to science.

Those are not prophecies. The new testament texts are a midrash of the old testament texts. Please give me an example of the bible prophecy of an event that is known to have happened by non-biblical evidence. And, it should go without saying, the bible text must have been written before the event in question. This is exactly the kind of evidence that would point to the bible being divinely inspired and exactly the kind of evidence that is lacking. There is nothing in the bible that could not have been written by men.
