she may be carting her grandbaby around out of a sense of pride..

it is an honor to be a grandparent

but that would be awful if she encouraged her daughter to have an abortion, especially since they would have the means to care for a little one

maybe I am comparing myself or maybe not.. but I encouraged Click fro NOT to have an abortion

Yeah, what a horrible example to set. We certainly don't want to anyone too see people loving and caring for their families. That just wouldn't set a good example for people.

Look I am not saying this because I am anti Sarah Palin.

I have no clue where that shit is. It was in Time or Newsweek or The New York Times right after the election.

And like I said it was not the fact that she is loving and caring - it's how freakishly clingy she is.

Yall need to stop making it about party lines.

If it was Brittney Spears or something you people would agree.

And Dreamer - where ever you are. Did you mean to neg rep me for this thread? Because it only came up gray. :cool

Anyways. If you disagree Dreamer grow some balls and say what you got to say in public, and then if you must, neg rep me :p

OK OK _ EDIT!!!

It's not her grandson - it's her son Trip or Trig or whatever.

She had considered aborting him when she found out he had downs.

Palin Says She Considered Having an Abortion - washingtonpost.com

Bring out your thought police and crucify her for her heinous crime. :willy_nilly:

It's really amazing how her enemies give her more airtime than anyone else. If it weren't for ya'll she'd be back home knitting hockey stick cozies.

If I admit that I am now even more confused then I generally am, could someone explain what is so bad about a working mother keeping her toddler with her as much as possible.

I really hate this odd position I'm finding myself in. I say let's find evidence that she has cast him aside and is letting him be raised by nannies or wild wolves while she persues her own political ambitions:thumbup

Ah, she's been in the news over here because she's pissed off with Family Guy. Apparently one of the kids in it started dating someone with Downs Syndrome who said that his mum is the former governor of Alaska.

Wow, I post half decent threads and don't get half as much attention.. Perhaps I need to give my posts new thought and slander a US politician "a la JanieDough / Kevin070 style" and see if I can get attention I so badly need.. :24::24::24:

People get fired up about celebrities bringing their kids on the road and out in the public. She carts him around to all her public speeches.

I think its gross in light of the fact she had considered aborting him, and she's now using him as a campaign tool.

seriously. you're putting me in the same category as Kelvin.

We are not friends.

you guys are ganging up on me because yall are trying to protect your party. I am not trying to make this about her party.

This is about a woman who had thought of aborting her kid just because he had Downs, and now uses him as a political tool with her conservative Pro Life constituents.

That's sick.

Did you actually read the article relating to her "thinking" about having an abortion?

"There, just for a fleeting moment, I thought, I knew, 'Nobody knows me here. Nobody would ever know.' "

In those circumstances, I don't think anyone could claim they wouldn't have had the idea at least run through their head.

oh, and for the record, I am neither a Republican nor am I a very big fan of Palin, I just find it amusing that she's become enemy number one to everyone on the other side of the aisle from her.

I didn't read the Washington Post article, but I read some other article last night. That's how I found out I was wrong about it being her grandson.

I would not consider it - not matter what the disease. I definitely wouldn't consider it if I was as Pro Life as she is. I am Pro Choice but I myself wouldn't have an abortion.

you people quit assuming that just because I don't like this about her means that I am "on the other side of the aisle from her"

Sorry never meant to say you were friends with Kelvin and only said you were getting attention like him.. I was being sarcastic about the attention you were getting.. Don't be so sensitive.. :sarcasm

As far as Sarah Palin is concerned I really have no bias for or against her as she is out of my country and would never affect me here.. But she is not the first politician to drag a child on a stage for photo op's and self serving reasons.. Perhaps the most prominent but not the first..

If I speak on one side I am told I am too "lefty" and on the other I am too "righty"... Can someone make up their minds.. :p

I don't think that she probably actually ever considered it, but it's one of those things that I think most people couldn't help but have run through their minds.

I'm not assuming anything about you, it was a generalized statement about the people on the left who seem to go out looking for reasons to hate her. :24:

Ok sorry - I feel like yall were jumping on me based on the assumption that the only reason I had an issue with this is because I didn't agree with her politics.

which is not true.

And yeah other celebrities and politicians do it too, but I think it's sick then too. I made a Michael Jackson reference after all....
