Back in May I had a tread showing a pair of Sandhills on a nest that held two eggs. I was hoping to capture the young ones just after they hatched but I wasn't able. I then reported that both hatched but one chick drowned just after. I hadn't been back until today and I ran across the family. I'm happy to report the remaining chick survived and is being well cared for by it's parents.

This is the lone chick

Thanks

Good shots. First one is my favourite, despite the ass of the older one in shot a bit :)

I couldn't position myself any differently because I was cut off from them due to a bunch of water. I also tried to edit said ass out of the picture but it was too noticeable.
