Rollin coins sucks, But its not the hardest thing to do.... umm at least that is what I thought...

Guy comes into the store last night, had to be about 22 or 24.. somewhere in there.. has a bagof Quarters with him, He ells me, all he has is change, and hopes I can take it.. I tell him sure.. As long as its rolled.. He looks at me :confused It has to be rolled.. YEAH.. I give him a couple of quarter rollers, and

I swear... he looks at the roll.. picks it up.. looks it over several directions and then sais.. SO how do you use this to roll quarters :eek

all I could do was look at him.. and shake my head in disbelief.... and roll the quarters myself.

I've never rolled coins either... I've always unrolled them. Those plastic wraps they come in suck monkey nuts.

Plastic Wraps?? I have only ever used Paper wraps.. their round.. you drop the coins in them.. I just dont think it should be difficult to figure out.. Not a matter of ever doing it.. But a matter of being able to do it.

When you get coins from the mint or certain banks, they are wrapped in plastic and heat closed at the edges, you have to rip the ends off of them to get the coins to fall out. It was a MAJOR PITA when you needed coins fast for a transaction and couldn't leave an open register to get a knife or something.

I've seen paper rolls, I've just never used them.

hmm interesting.. Our banks use paper rolls too, But they roll over the coin.. rolling on the end.. kind of a pain, but easy to break, they just cant be re-used, because they are done automated... I prefer the old wrappers,, but They work great for the collector rolls..

hmm the plastic ones are easy if you know the trick...all you do is bend the roll in half and it stretches the plastic enough to where you just push them out with your finger.

Coins are just put into clip lock plastic bags here. They have an amount written on the front of the bag for each coin & then the bank weighs it when you hand it in. Easy peasy.

Aside from the smell, They are sometimes good for a laugh..

I once had a girl bring me a half-doller, she wanted to know if we took them here.

Seriously, she had half-dollors and susan B's.. she didnt think you were allowed to spend them??
