Sorry Ian but that's what I thought of when I uploaded these shots. It wouldn't be much more that a snack for him but it would help making it through one more day of winter. Your Robin shot was very nice btw...

I never thought I would complain about too much sunlight reflecting of it's pearly white head.

Absolutely but I doubt Robins are on their menu very often cuz they are so quick. One of their favorite meals is the American Coot cuz they are so easy to catch. I've watched 'em take one off the water while it was floating around doing what coots do... which is steal food from other ducks. Payback is a bitch in natures world.

Don't ever become a coot... especially an old one.

Eagles are very opportunistic and very much like a scavenger actually. They will eat almost anything as long as it's meat. They have no pride when it comes to stealing off something else as well as their own kind. I have no idea why the Americans hold them in such high esteem except for their looks. :24:

I watched an eagle chase an osprey until the osprey dropped the fish it had caught in my back yard and the eagle came back around and collected it. Lazy bastard.

No wonder Ben Franklin wanted the turkey to be our national bird.
