So I'm listening to music, and I've decided that if I had to choose only three bands whose music I could listen to for the rest of my life; I think I'd be okay. The Juliana Theory, Eve 6, and Anberlin. Yes, it's a very bizarre and far-fetched scenario, but I'm good at those.
Speaking of The Juliana Theory... this song just started playing. Which made me remember probably the most amazing concert I've ever been to... which was seeing them on their brief reunion tour last August. Hmm, August... appropriate since this song is called August in Bethany... it's also the song that they opened up the show with.
With the sounds of the ocean crashing
7:30 Friday evening
Everything comes tumbling down
I choke back each tear that bleeds
I’d rather rest forever in your arms
I’d rather stay here than go but I know that
I should leave as i sit here helpless
Don’t go you said you wouldn't
You said you wouldn't
Don’t go you said you wouldn't
You said you couldn't
I think of our time together is it fading
Am I dreaming everything you said lives on
I cherish our memories
I want to kiss your tears away tonight
It's hard to give up the one
You never thought you'd leave
Don’t go don't go
Your eyes they see through my soul
Don't go don't go
You say as I walk out your door
With the sounds of the ocean crashing
7:30 Friday evening
Everything comes tumbling down
And that concert was pretty bomb.com. Certainly superior to the Anberlin concert in October. I was sorely disappointed in that one.
