I'd be well pissed off if I was his wife, don't exactly need to be a genius to work out that pulling a gun on someone holding a gun to your wife's head AND while he's got his friends with him is incredibly stupid.

Wiese said Jaap van Tonder would not be charged as he had not done anything wrong.
“The man was defending himself and his family and could easily have been killed by those who were attacking him.” - Pretoria News

Brilliant that!! Bloody good that! Reminds me of the time my mum and dad told me about while we were in Africa and some rebels came ... LOL bloody great story! good on Mr.van Tonder.

The thing is another innocent woman got kidnapped, would she if the guy would have just stopped after his wife was released? If I was being held at gunpoint I would want my hubby to do whatever he had to to insure I was safe, shoot the guy if he thought he could, give him money, etc., but after we were safe I would expect him to work at getting license numbers or descriptions not pursue them. No thing is worth losing one's life or being injured. I understand and have acted unwisely when adrenalin gets pumping but not if someone I love's well being is at risk.
