I currently own a small apartment. I'm glad that I purchased it 10 years ago. The value of the property has appreciated. I do not have to worry about paying rental and I can decorate my place in whatever way I like.

Well it depends on the situation one funds themselves as no one will want to be renting a house but rather own it but not all things happens as we want them to be. But I would prefer to own my home which i am working towards all day but I am currently living in a rented apartment and a self contain to be precise though it is nice living in this house even if it is not mine but I am treated by the owners as a family and being loved as it would be in my home.

I am a homeowner per se
The bank actually owns my home

But I do like ownership vs renting.

Renting has its hood points:
No real maintenance
Support services
Amenities

But nothing beats being able to jump into your own pool butt-ass naked and not having to worry about what the neighbors are doing to say lol

I rent a two-bedroom apartment. I like renting because my only utility bill is electricity and maintenance issues are taken care of. I am fortunate to live in a quiet complex. Other than my upstairs neighbour walking heavily, I've never had to deal with excessive noise or other disruptions, even when I'm on nights and sleeping during the day.

I would love to own a house but being a single income household, it's just not financially feasible for me. I could probably afford the mortgage payments no problem, but paying for utilities, property tax, and maintenance costs as well would be next to impossible for me. It kind of sucks because I have a kick-ass stereo system that I've never been able to use to its full potential because I don't want to disturb my neighbours.

For now I'm renting a house, because I'm in a city of people. One day I returned to my hometown where I wanted to build my own house and enjoy the rest of my life there.

Pros:
Because it provides a permanent place to live, owning a house may provide a sense of stability and security.
You are free to make changes to your house and customize it according to your tastes.
Homes often increase in value over time, providing long-term financial benefits.

Cons:
Owning a property entails a significant amount of responsibilities, including upkeep and repairs.
Property taxes, homeowner's insurance, and energy bills are just a few of the extra costs that come with owning a house.
There is also the chance that the property market will fall, causing your home to lose value.

I like home ownership for the mere fact it provides a permanent place to live, owning a house gives a sense of stability and security.
