Record breaking cold last night

We got down to 24 with a real hard frost this morning. Put a hurt on a lot of plants and has really hammered the vineyards around the lakes at the peak of flowering season. Wine will be in short supply this year. Lot of the fields have oats and corn just getting out of the ground so too early to tell how much it hurt crops yet.

ridiculous for May. We have been in the low 40's the last 2 mornings. Unheard of this late in Alabama.

It is about normal temperatures here. Last week we had 85 degrees which is nuts for May this week low 60s which is normal. In fact, I left home w/o coat and was sorry 'cause I got rained on real good, oh well, my own stupid fault AND wouldn't you know the umbrella I had in the car for about a year was partially broken, but unlike some folk might think I'm not a witch so the water didn't cause me to melt lol

May long weekend is coming up here and we usually get snow during it... Most people here won't plant flowers till after Victoria day weekend.

In Spain yesterday, we were around 90, and tomorrow it'll be around 45 with swow over 3500 feet...This is really unusual this period of the year.

Just now, there is an storm in my village and is hailing...small stones though.

Past 2 days it was 92 and broke records. Now they are warning about frost Sunday morning. Lows are to be 33 34 32 and then warm back to 85 by Wednesday. Crazy as can be.

We were at 34 with wet snow mixing in the rain when I left for the cancer doc this morning. Got to 41 in the city but was only 36 with a wind chill of 28 when we put all the potted and hanging plants back in the greenhouse an hour ago. Monday should reach 70 and be nice.

Just returned once again from my mom's house covering her plants.
Did it yesterday as the temps went to 33 degrees as predicted tonight.
Had to turn the furnace on...since yesterday.
Moderating temps during the weekend.

We has a little frost this morning but the wind has been blowing for 5 days now. Gusts to 30 again today. Tonight should be the last of the cold.
