Record Arctic Melt

i think 20 years ago we could refer to india and china as third world but times have changed.

all those little bicycles in china have long gone.

ive been to india four times in the last six years and the changes ive seen over that time are amazing.

if the changes continue at this rate ,and we dont all pull it together then we really are in the shit
True, but at what cost are they improving their skylines? The gap betwen the rich and the poor in both those countries is sickening.

Ice comes and goes, BadBoy, you know this. The article seems current, and yet I saw something on Discovery Channel about 2 weeks ago about how there's already 15% of the lost ice being restored. I'm telling you, I'm not worried about the loss of ice. It'll come and goes as it pleases, it always has.

I've pointed this out before, but people don't seem to like it. We may produce CO2, but it's a means to an end. At least we have something to show for the CO2, as opposed to some of these other countries who are essentially polluting to be polluting.

:24::24::24::24::24::24:

so its ok to fuck the planet as long as youre making the most money

youre cleaner because you have the money to be clean and the technology to be cleaner,but how can you be cleaner if you produce more crap per population?

and its the making more of everything ,often things we dont really need that also contributes to the state of the planet.

i suspect that if youre all having an especially cold winter there ,then everyone has turned up the heating,hence more green house gasses.

ive always thought you look well scrubbed ron,i can smell that lovely aftershave from here;)

Well there is an enormous amount of pressure being put on the European Union, and the Asian continents to clean up as well, we are not the only country on the bandwagon, and yes, technically if we are going to be the beacon of democracy for other countries, we do actually have a responsibility to lead the way environmentally.

I totally agree with this. The USA does produce a lot of the problems and so do China. Sitting back and saying, well I'm not going to do anything because China won't, isn't a very responsible attitude and dosen't change the facts.
