I had 4 hours of sleep. Woke up at 7:30. Got to work at 8:15. Good thing: I didn't get yelled at.
I had to scrape off the truck again. This was this hard ice shit on it. I got it good enough to drive, then hit the wipers and the clips broke off and weren't holding the blade on anymore. Goddamnit.
I left from the office and got out on the road at 8:45. Good thing: roads weren't too bad.
Stopped for a pop at my favorite gas station, gas was 1.99.
Went to my first job. Something easy, not techy. Just pulling a phone system and the phones. Here comes the shitty part. Remember how my Knee is killing me? Yeah. I had to cart about 8 boxes in separate trips out the door, down the hall, down one floor on the elevator, walk about 50 yards, go out into the parking garage walk up the stairs one floor and load everything into my truck.
The link to the garage was on the 4th floor, I had to park on the 5th floor, and our client was on the 5th floor. Goddamn...
Then I get behind a lady that just for the life of her would not attempt at making a right on red for the life of her. There weren't any "no right on red" signs, anywhere. At all. She did it twice. She was heading west on Lake, turned north on Coliseum, and then turned east on state. WTF where the hell was she going?
Then I get to my second job. I talk to them about what they want. I'm gonna need wire runs, so I go pick up wire and whatnot then go to lunch.
Get back from lunch and the customers landlord said NO wire runs without prior, written and signed authorization. *sigh*
So I leave and go hook up a music on hold (MOH) cord. It works, then i get a call to go back to previous job.
No wire runs needed!!! woot! So I go to my truck to get some jacks and plates.
I have ONE fucking cat 3 jack. I need 7. Christ.
4:30? I'm leaving.
I stop by to get some coffee at the previously said favorite gas station, realize I need gas and have time to do it. only now it's bumped to 2.26 a gallon. wtf? I hate gas companies.
This after sliding all over the place in parking lots and whatnot because nothing but the roads are shovelled.
