There are times, dear Haus, when typing something out is preferred to actually opening your mouth to speak. If I have something on my mind, I'll type out an IM to Franklyn (I can literally touch him from where I sit most of the time) rather than speak. I never know if he's in the middle of something at the time, and by IMing him, it gives him the freedom to choose when he'll be available to read it. *smiles*
