Call and leave a message thanking the interviewer for spending time with you...or send a letter thanking them for the opportunity.

It is ALWAYS welcome to say THANK YOU after such!

Yeah...um for future reference, write the info on a calendar...what time the interview is, who the interviewer will be, etc.
