:24: I have had SOMEONE here tell me that the beer I drink isn't beer...it's "hops flavored water." I prefer Michelob Ultra. You may now judge me.

and the judging has commenced.:p

Come to Nova Scotia and have a Keiths...you won't regret it.

I have had Michelob, tasted pretty standard, but it wasn't awful. Some of the weird bubbleless beers that bud do, now they're awful!

Ugh...I can drink Bud Light IF I've had something else to drink first. Otherwise I just find it too bitter for my tastes.

:24: Hmmm, Keiths, huh??? I might have to do that one day. ;) I did the Sam Adams Brewery Tour while I was in Boston. The Alpine Springs beer wasn't too bad...the rest of it was far too bitter for my tastes. :yuk

It's only a 12 hours drive from Boston to my door..well, Watertown.

What area are you moving to?

Have you made your list of pros and cons? That's what I do....or did, now I see an opportunity and just roll with it. I was scared to death to make my first move, now I love the challenge.

Do you have a deadline?

You should move to NY, we have a big city and lots of scenery. Plus you don't have to deal with Massholes!!!!

I have NOT. I need to do that, actually. I talked to a friend about it a little bit today and I'll probably call him again Monday when I'm off work and see if we can meet up and talk about it.

No deadline, really. Long story short, come June things will finally be in order where I can start looking after myself instead of everybody else, so I'm trying to get out there and get the ball in motion before I talk myself out of it. I know it's what I want...but it's so easy to just stay in a situation b/c you're used to it, yanno???

I would LOVE to live in NYC, but I already have a roommate and a place to move into in Fitchburg. I have a cousin who lives in NYC, though, and she told me to let her know if I ever decided to move there.

Yea, NYC is a place I want to live. I lived in Queens until I was 4 and then my family decided that they needed a change from living their whole lives in the city and decided to more upstate.

Upstate is okay, but it pales in comparison when you have NYC on your doorstep. I'm lucky, I only live about an hour and a half north of NYC, so I can take the train and visit, which I do, but it aint the same.

In fact, I ALMOST went to the city for college but decided not to and am kicking myself for it. Colleges in New York State are in crazy rural areas in the weirdest towns. My school is a a neat hippie area that is nicely formed around the school but a big city would be pretty awesome.

Of course, I'm looking at all the pros.

I know it far too well...but I always get bored, I swear I was a gypsy in a past life, I love moving around, starting fresh, meeting new people, making my own way, figuring things out, blah, blah, blah...it's so exciting. I've failed a couple of times, but it's all experiences, and honestly, even though I was hurt and set myself back a couple of times, I wouldn't change it for the world.

Here's a few moves/experiences:

had a comfy gov't job for over 10 years, nice house, the works....broke up with b/f, couldn't stay in the same area because I was driving myself crazy so moved to the closest city for 3 years, kinda struggled there, but it was the first time I branched out on my own, I somewhat regretted the move, actually because I missed all the comforts I had home, but there was no turning back...

3 years later decided to reconcile with that b/f, sold everything and moved to Toronto-the relationship failed instantly and I was on my own and too stubborn to move back 'home' so decided to stick it out. Got a good job, met lots of people and loved the city. Even had tea with the Dalai Lama, amazing experience.

Moved back home when my mom got sick to help out, didn't know what to do, so got a job with a coal mining company as an office manager and almost 2 years to the day of meeting the Dalai Lama, I was 150 meters UNDER the Atlantic Ocean in a coal mine. I was never so scared in my life, but wouldn't change it for the world. Again....met great people, challenged myself and learned lots.

Fast forward...here I am 6,000 kms from home working in the oil fields, completely out of my element and loving it.

If I was too scared move, I guess I wouldn't know what I was missing, but I wouldn't have those memories either...can't wait to see what I do next, hahaha.

Sorry for the long post...but I think everyone should take the opportunity to experience new things and even embrace the fear that goes with it, you'll amaze yourself with what you can actually do, or at least I did.

THAT is exactly what I'm trying to avoid. I already missed out on an opportunity to study abroad in London when I was in college and I kick myself all the time for it.

This is what I'm hoping for. And I'll never know unless I take that chance.

I am off to bed now guys! Goodnight, see you all tomorrow, sometime. :D

Goodnight. ;)
