Go into your control panel. Edit options and uncheck visitor messages and if you dont want PM's uncheck that.

But but... I want VM's from my friends, but not strangers. =[
Then put the person that you don't want to see their messages on ignore where you can find in your Control Panel toward the bottom left. Or you can set up only to get visitor messages from people on your friends list which you only have Kimmy. That would be the only person who could leave you VM until you add more friends. That is in edit options also.
You enable visitor messaging/private messaging then click the next box which says something about limiting it to contacts.
