The thing is that her apartment complex has a contract with only 1 internet company and because Nikki has never had internet with them she has to buy the modem or rather I have to buy it and it cost $99. Then the internet plan itself is going to probably run around $40 and also I'm wiring her the money which will cost. So...I'm going to really be broke!

Oooooh, I see! It's a little different here. I don't have to buy a modem to get internet. I rent it from the provider for something like $2 a month and it's just added to my monthly bill. If I ever cancel my internet then they take the modem back.

that's how it usually is here but for some reason this company operates that way. Also she may have to wait for the modem to be shipped. WTF? Do they expect her to hook it up too? :thumbdown
