i had to pick up dog shit on my birthday, and my son was ill so i was sat indoors all the live long day...

Me too, sometimes...but my long term memory is pretty good. My supervisor laughs at me b/c she can say "remember about 5 years ago when such and such happened" and I'll be like "yeah, that was over in the 600 block of such and such street...I'll find it in the computer." I've been at my job 8 years and I can still tell you the address of the first child death I ever dealt with, the first fatal wreck I ever dispatched, the first structure fire I ever dispatched, etc.
