Truck developed a hellacious vibration.. boss kept saying we'll fix it next week.. for the past 4 months. Finally got it in a shop yesterday and the rear, rear end is about to blow up. Boss calls the shop and tells em not to fix it.. calls me and tells me we're gonna keep driving it till it blows... but when they go they don't free wheel.. it'll lock up. I could be doing 70 on the interstate, weighing 80,000lbs, in rush hour traffic and it could go.. Theres no telling what would happen or where it would go with it locked up. I'm not going to run the risk of hurting a bunch of people for a few bucks.. so I told boss man to shove that idea up his ass and don't call me back until its fixed... so now I sit at home.

That was a good decision. you dont want to put you life in danger either

I can handle wrecking it if its my fault. But I couldn't live with taking out a bunch of people knowing that I KNEW that truck was unsafe... I mostly drive in heavy traffic areas, 3 lane interstate... it would not be a pretty sight. Would be like locking your brakes at 70mph and not letting off till it stopped. No telling where it would slide or if it would slide in a straight line.. or jack knife and roll over...

Wow...now I know the sort of stuff a friend was trying to explain to me about.... he quite driving because he didn't like how the 'bosses' wanted him to do exactly what you had explained.
