I finally got an offer from my uni for accomodation, thank fuck. I was very lucky. If I could even find private accomodation I wouldn't be able to afford it.

Nah, just different slang. My understanding is that knocked up means something completely different where you guys live than it does here, too. LOL

I mean, we have a distinct difference when it comes to the verb "knock" and women. You knock a women up, your getting her pregnant, you knock her about, your giving her a good kicking.
It's all about the prepositions! Hell, if I still did English Language I should write an essay on it
