I may only be 22, but Andy truly was a legend. I only know him from The Andy Griffith Show, but still... RIP.

I heard a lot about that today, but I was previously un-aware of it. I will have to check it out.

His greatest roll in my eyes was..."Will Stockdale"

Our church is currently using a "reel to real" theme using clips from movies to apply the Bible in everyday life. Since Mr. Griffith's hometown of "Mayberry" is in close proximity to us, our pastor used a clip of the latrine inspection scene to bring a message from the Bible LOL (although I laugh, it was though provoking and he did make his point).

I had forgotten all about that movie.

For a fireworks show at a local airport we were treated to a good mix of bluegrass and gospel music (although not my favorite, some very talented "older" musicians) and some of the guys and women (musicians) would talk about the real band who the "Darlings" were based off of on the TV show and their relationship to Mr. Griffith. Very interesting history.
