Selling so cheap = probably too good to be true, plus they are so old, it is probably faulty as well i.e. avoid like the plague

If you need a camera and they work what's the harm in spending 20 bucks. The nice thing is you can check them out before you hand over the cash.

What software could she need? Any system can download the pics off a memory card providing it has a card reader. Card readers are cheap if her computer doesn't have one. As far as editing software is concerned there's tons of free stuff available on the net.
