So uh yeah I know none of you really care about interstates and all of that, but you can Blame Haus for this thread because of his google maps one I had to get on google earth again.

Anyway, near any of you are there any Interstates that split into an east/west or north/south designation between two close cities?

So far the only interstate I can find serves across the country that does this is I35, which does it in two places.

The Dallas Fort Worth area and Minneapolis St. Paul area.

The only highway that seems to do it, does it twice for two sets of 'twin cities'.

Dunno why, but that shit is fascinating to me.

the interstate Y's into 2 interstates thru the metro area, then comes back together outside the cities....
it goes from I-35 to I-35E and I-35W then back to I-35 again.

So, Peter - you know our M25 ciculates and then you know junction 28 leads of to junction 30, where you pick up the spaghetti junction, that leads to the m6 and then you turn off right........ not forgetting the A roads that come off the B roads - then the T-junctions, whoa, well, they are insane and manic...... :)

umm i dont get what youre talking about. but i know where i-35 is up in dallas...

In your neck of the woods, I35 T's off to I35 east and I35 west, I35E goes through Dallas and I35W goes through Fort Worth. In Minnesota, I35W goes through Minneapolis and I35E goes through St Paul.

I'm just wondering besides that single highway, do any other Interstates T off into an E/W or N/S designation.

Yeah its like the M1, whats the point of having 2 of them in England, one in Scotland, one in N Ireland, one in IOM and one in IOW. And that magic roundabout, the best way to navigate is to come of J1 or the A1M go down the B354 till you get to the CVii43v3i which will bring you onto R R2D2 . Go R 999 untill you get to the DS 2 and leave on the UB40.

OMG, YEAH!!!! They are doing another that comes the other way now, from Scotland and Wales!!! it'll be called the A1 MB - southwest for north on carriage B12 still, but then it changes slightly to CV56iiii UB40 twice! Oh, forgot the R2D2 will now have a half added on too!:) Mind you shld make it easier for the R999 cos we will then be able to pick it up frm the S997 and a half.:) Thank god for that eh, or we wld be really confused!

AND, they are still building...

Yeah, what about the B52 which the're building through LS corner, that looks nearly as confusing as the J20, green route. If they build that I think I'll give them both a miss and just take the trusty B957 through Boing.

Yeah, so starting backwards on this one cos it's easier for me, as you know how confused I get - that Boing will be called the new spring and numbered now - AT LAST!!! Not sure what number yet though on that.

Oh, if they build the J20 green route, what will happen to c350 yellow/blue route? That goes off in 2 directions as it is but still the same direction - amazing!!!

Oh sorry, 4got about what you said about the B52 - well, they're asking for trble there, then - think of the crashes there cld be there!

I love these roads, do you Peter?:)
