A man as smart as yourself (no sarcasm intended) should realize that for the most part, Christian lives don't suck as much as those in the middle east. You also forget the "mob mentality" and the fact that the people know their religious governments will let them get away with crap in the name of Islam.

Really? It was huge! There was even a film made and released just about the protests a couple of years ago

It probably had more publicity there than here so I dont remember it...here the big news seems to be about dead actors..who cheated on who or brief stories of world affairs.

Is the movie good?...thats what I am after

There was a huge protest in New York over it, as far as I can tell, speaking to Americans, it was big in the USA too though maybe more of a cult film. Dunno how old you are but maybe the protest were a bit before your time, it was released in the late 70s? Oh, and it is brilliant, one of the best comedies ever made, you should definately give it a watch. :thumbup

I for one and glad that we keep religion separated from the state.

Most men whose lives suck in the cities in the United States join gangs. Those in the mideast join religious groups lead by zealots sanctioned for the most part by their government.

These are very good points, the protests about this anti Muslim film seem a lot worse in the Middle East. Over here in the UK, we've got the usual few nutters protesting outside the USA embassy and burning a flag (never quite got the point of that) that you get in all sorts of groups while the majority of muslims over here are just quiety getting on with their life regardless of if they think it's offensive or not.

I wasnt doing much during that time as far as recreation wise...didnt watch much TV or go the movies
I need to see if I can find it and give it a watch..I always like a good comedy.
