I don't know how they get away with it tbh, it seems to be the same everywhere from what I can see. You just have to be firm almost to the point of being rude sometimes which is awful really

That sounds horrid. I was reading in one of the UK papers (can't remember if it was The Guardian, Daily Mail or Independent) about how some UK hospitals are now thinking of not providing any formula unless in an absolute emergency or providing an area to sterilise to cut down on mothers bottle feeding. It's the sort of thing I think will do more harm than good to breastfeeding.

Yeah I wish I'd listened more to my body. But everyone kept saying 1st babies are born late (Imogen was 3 days early), contractions will go on for ages (they didn't) and stuff like that so I believed them.

Yeah, my daughter was born the day she was due and the labour was 5 and a half hours. I mean you could talk to 100 women about their labours and I bet every one of them will have had a different experience so i don't know why anyone assumes they know what it'll be like for you
