We can make assumptions all day. Until then, we should go by with what we know, and thats certainly not all of this creation mumbo jumbo.

Really .. it seems like that is exactly what you are doing in a "round about"" "bait and switch" kinda way. You are basing your assumptions/beliefs on the "findings" of scientist/geologists .. and their "studies".

Who's to say they aren't wrong/skewed/biased, and everyone who believes them aren't wrongn as well (like you think christians arer fr the exact same reasons)?

How do they know how old something is "really" .. they started out by guessing and then formulating a solution to base their findings on so it all made sense .. and it seems tha tmos tof these people are the people who don't believe in God or the theory of "biblical creation" .. said what if these people said to themselves one day "hey, this sounds plausible to us .. I think this is what happened, how about you guys?" .. How far f a reach/stretch is it to think a lot of our scientific/geological studies/findings isn't just like everyone else who believes in any other theory on how everything was created.

There are SO many theories .. how do you "know" which one to choose?

A global flood no matter how large would not be capable of moving continents. They don't just float in the ocean. The entire face of the earth is separated into tectonic plates that are all connected. A flood could not move continents... just not possible.

Who said it caused it directly? Who says it had to encompass the entire globe?

What if the pressure from all that water could have helped formed cracks .. what if erosion could have helped start things "moving" .. and eventually .. they broke up and moved off from their original locations.

Like I said .. no one will ever REALLY know, and evidently we weren't meant to "know" either. Else we wouldn.

wait, no one here thinks continents are just floating there in the ocean........right?

.........................right?

nope .. no one believes that

Floating atop a mantle of hot, ductile rock, the continents and ocean plates drift like gargantuan icebergs, crashing into each other, building mountain ranges and volcanic belts as they go.
The phenomena is known as continental drift and the process has been going on for hundreds of millions of years-- at rates measured in only a few centimeters per year.

Oceanic crust is being continuously created through the process of seafloor spreading, and continuously consumed through subduction. Because of this continuous recycling, no oceanic crust is older than 190 million years

around 4.5 billion years old. Thats common knowledge.

No actually the geologic time table shows quite clearly when things happened.

And how exactly do the people who came up with this table know they are for certain 100% without a doubt correct?

....you don't know about the dozens of types of dating methods that are independently used and then collaborated together to get around the same date that are used by thousands upon thousands of scientists around the world?

there really aren't that many theories on how the earth formed. There are really only two major camps: Science and religion.

And how exactly do the people who came up with this table know they are for certain 100% without a doubt correct?
radiometric dating which is very accurate.

really ... based on what? Base don theories and tests/conclusions that man formed?
No theories, just physics and hard, geological evidence. These are still true even if we weren't around. We just stumbled upon them and drew conclusions based on them.

Yes, geological evidence that man created .. ie .. came up with to support their theories of creation and earth dating.

It's kinda like where God came from .. this question ... where did the basis for these facts come frm .. who tld the first person "hey .. this is how this really is".

Someone had to "come up" with it .. to determine how old things were .. the "theory" is man made.

no so thats not how science works, and thats not how it is done.
