I don't know shit about growing pumpkins, but shouldn't they be farther apart? I mean aren't they going to crowd each other and possibly hinder growth?

when you plant pumpkins you plant in "hills" each hill gets 4 or so seeds and the hills you space very far apart...

there are 5 spouts on my hill but i intended a max of 4 (probably closer to 3 because of my garden space) so once they start to get a little bigger i will pull 1-2 of the smaller/weaker vines.
