Probably the wrong forum but....

We don't have a flatscreen TV, which highly disappoints my stepson. It's sort of down the list on priorities what with trying to get a shop/house built enuf by late fall to move in and readying our side of the duplex for rent.

My cousin had her TV up on the wall but her boyfriend was having neck problems having to strain to watch the TV (It was quite high up on the wall because they have a in-built fire underneath) so they took it down. I personally don't see the fuss in having them on the wall, I buy a TV to watch it, not to put it on the wall.

Depending on the size they are not only expensive but can cost quite the money to put up.. If you do not have the right support in your walls ( Frame ) studs you may have to tear into the drywall.

That's fine and dandy if you don't mind redoing your wall but then accessing the cables is a real pain in the a$$ afterwards if you build it in to far inwards. At least that's what happened to one person I know..

MUCH cheaper if you buy them on-line like Amazon.com.

Stores will rape you when it comes to accessories. Just look at HDMI cables for an example. Buy them at the store and pay $25 for a 6' HDMI 1.3 cable. I can get the same one on-line for less than a dollar.

Very true...there are a lot of sites where you can buy entertainment accessories for nearly 50%-99% less than what you would buy them in a store. I can see mounting one in a bedroom. However, considering the cost of the mount itself and still having the need of some type of entertainment unit to store other accessories, it's just not worth it in my opinion to mount one in a living room or basement.

I dunno about Fred but the thing that bugs me about online shopping even though I still do it from time time is the length of time shipping takes. Unless you pay out the ass it can take a week to 10 days for anything to be delivered. I like buying shit so i can take it home and use it right off. I'm impatient though. So really if I paid 50 bucks for a wall mount i could bring home today it's worth it over buying one and having to have it shipped or paying shipping costs for next day air.
