Prince Harry in Taleban fighting

Prince Harry has been fighting the Taleban on the front line in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed. Harry, 23, who is third in line to the throne, has spent the last 10 weeks serving in Helmand Province.
It comes after the prince's planned tour to Iraq last year had to be cancelled because of a security risk sparked by publicity.

Good! About time a royal fought again. He's been a right arrogant shit for a while now so hopefully this will knock some sense into him and good to see someone whose family is supposed to rule us, fight for us again!:clap:clap:clap
 
peter, from my understanding i thought he had been wanting to go to the front lines and they wouldn't let him?? I think he is happy to be there now. I'm glad he is there too, and I really hope he doesn't become a target or become captured!

You're right, he wanted to go but it was the security problem which stopped it. Not sure why they have allowed him now unless they kept it really quiet and he's away from it now, this is breaking news. Still quite a security risk though. However don't forget Prince Andrew faught in the Falklands and was under huge risk in the 80s.

I like the guy. Him and his brother are a breath of freash air to the royal family.

And don't forget that Elizabeth served in the military. Not in a combat role, but in a war nonetheless.

well it was amagazine which leaked this news not the palace.
first anyone here in england knew about..

i like pete think that the "arogant little shit:24:" should actually be out there doing his job ,its cost a fortune to train him at sandhurst.
i notice hes gone to afghanistan rather than iraq ,a political decision i would think on that score ,which gives an incite into government thinking re iraq now.

my only problem with this news being leaked is that ,although he will be a target ,but he always will be no matter what,is that his comrades are now also at greater risk:(

I've already had this argument with AEF. Queen Elizabeth II has done great for the UK.
 
oh great hes going to be withdrawn immediately ...so after all that training ,what is he going to do.
there are mothers and wives who have men there that dont get this treatment...and he must be gutted because he actually wants to do his job:mad
so either way its crap.
 
I think it's great due to the fact that he would have learned a lot in that training. Ask dt3. He'll know that when you go through military training, you learn a ton of things that will strengthen your character.

And his privileges are to be expected. Everyone knows that comes with Royalty.
 
Keeping here there after the leak is only going to put the troops he's fighting with at a much greater danger though as he would then be a major target. Stupid press!
Oh well, guess it's back to England where he can go around shooting endangered birds and having pissed up fisticuffs with photographers while rolling out of one club or another, again!
