Things I learned a little too late:

There was a girl in high school who I thought was really cute. I really wanted to ask her out but felt she was out of my league. I went straight to "The Friend Zone" with her and we became friends. One day we were talking and I told her I had always wanted to ask her out but was afraid of rejection. She was in a relationship at the time. She told me that pretty girls are like any other girl. She said she spent most weekend nights at home because no one asked her out. She only could guess from my comments that other guys were afraid of rejection too. She told me that in the future to keep in mind being rejected on a date request is not the end of the world. Have the confidence to at least ask. I took that to college with me and dated a lot of pretty girls.

If I wanted to ask anyone out I just did it. I was/am very confident. A reject would not hurt me.

I like to flirt and I consider myself pretty, but I think if you flirt you are letting a guy know you think he's attractive. When I was real young, in my early teens though I was shy. My friends now find that hard to believe but I have evidence, my early report cards say I need to speak up more. :24: Don't think anyone would write that advice about me now

Kidding, kidding. Yes, pretty girls are just like the rest of us. Rejection isn't the end of the world. It sucks, but it doesn't kill you (ermm, unless it's your body rejecting an organ transplant...THEN rejection might kill you, IJS).

The "pretty" girls never appealed that much to me unless they had a nice personality as well. My wife is pretty to my eyes and even if the clothes are a little bigger she still makes me proud to be with her. I know mine are a little bigger also.

I would never have asked my wife out in high school. It took that lesson sticking before I was able to ask out the pretty girls. I learned college girls were on the prowl no matter what they looked like. I rarely got turned down in college. I turned down far more than I accepted.
