What you fail to realize is that kids don't just wake up one morning a disrespectful child.
Exactly...they may have moments of being little jeezers, but respect is definitely a learned behaviour, imo, of course.
As Tim and others have said, consistency is the key.

Absolutely. Kids will be kids and sometimes they act out no matter how well behaved they are.
