Premier League 2012/13

I was sad to see Lambert go from Norwich to Villa but Chris Houghton has done well bit of a shakie start but then that unbeaten run done them some right favour's 10 or 11 games unbeaten not bad.

City were given a warning for spending so much over the transfer season and Sinclair i believe is going in this transfer window to another PL club can't remember who it was now got a feeling it was QPR for some reason Lescott is also out of favour at the min same as Kolo Toure. But city were basically spend, spend at one point, paying phenomal wages to anyone who would come.

Man United 2-1 Liverpool. Not a convincing win where Liverpool really did deserve a point. Going by the first half though you never saw the hanging on coming. Van Persie scored the opener in the 19th minute following a nice cross from Evra. Other chances presented themselves but we were unable to take them. Liverpool needed to change something and the introduction of Sturridge did that. Evra or Vidic put us 2-0 up after Van Persie swung a nice ball in, they'll sort it out between themselves. I'd be tempted to give it to Vidic though. But as so often happens when you've scored we switched off, and when Gerrard's shot was poorly parried by De Gea, Sturridge was there to put in the rebound. In the end we held out despite Liverpool dominating possession in the last 15 minutes. To go 10 points clear, and hopefully Arsenal do us a favour too.

Drew 1-1 away at Spurs. Not a bad result in the grand scheme of things, just the circumstances of the draw could be seen as disappointing. The Robin Van Persie goal machines rolled on in the first half with a pinpoint header after a great cross from Tom Cleverley. In the second half Spurs pressure continued and they came really close when Dempsey went through and saw his shot saved by De Gea, despite the chance for him to go down and get Evra sent off. Some players (not naming names) may have gone down in that area, so to see him stay up was refreshing. A stonewall penalty was turned down for us when Rooney was tripped by Caulker. In the last minute a soft punch from De Gea eventually led to Dempsey tapping in. In the end a deserved point for Spurs, but the circumstances of the draw are disappointing given we really were doing well to hold out. But, not a totally bad point.
