I'm not driving anything at the moment but here's a picture of my first car which I bought when I passed my test, aged 17

I know, I know, laugh all you want but it was great in the summer with the roof off and for some reason all the girls used to love it! Used to get 50 miles to the gallon out of it as well! Fun times!:D

really? Why so much?

Joe can do all the mechanic stuff, but he has been too busy lately. lol Maybe if it will cost 100 bucks, then he will break down and do it himself.

BMW doesn't like it's owners doing their own changes. One it costs them money and two it might cause lights to come on since (on a lot of cars even) it'll trip the oil light if it isn't reset.

the SI technically BELONGS to me...in that it is in my name, and insured under my name...but my bf is the one who drives it. I hate standards, but he really wanted that car so we got it, and i got an older car.

the oil light is the trick, theres a tool that costs around 180 bucks that plugs into the computer to turn the light off. second, the oil filter isnt a standard normal spin on type of filter. its kinda like an inside out oil filter but without the hard case, Known as a canister filter it has a housing thats cast into the engine block and requires a special socket to be removed. Draining the oil pan is a challenge as well, as there is a huge plastic rock guard underneath the vehicle that needs to be removed just to get to the drainplug
