I loves me some p.o.w. . Always take my camera to walmart with me now.
aww he is cute
And vicious! (We just let him think that. It makes him feel better about himself.)
He's beautiful Laure....is he a mastiff?
That's what we assume. There are times I'd almost bet he had some Dane in him, but we're just not sure. He was in a terrible situation with a family who didn't know what to do with such a big dog. They got scared every time he came near them, so they kept him locked in a small room most the time. It was so sad. When we got him, he wouldn't let anybody get close. Now, he wants to share the love seat with us.![]()
i used to have a dog washing business. The big "scary" dogs were the softies.....and the little "yap" dogs were the ones that would be aggro and bite...
and that includes the rotti I washed at the Bikie clubhouse....he wouldnt let anyone near him but me....and then he would just melt when I got him in the hydrobath....I think...well I know, it was the only human contact/touch he ever got![]()
That's so terrible. My heart breaks for animals in that kind of situation. At the rescue we adopted Sammy through, there's a Dane who was hit with some kind of electrical thing (don't know what it's called) and half starved. She's so pitiful. They've had to make her own private space, because she's petrified of any other dogs or humans. We take turns sitting outside her house and talking quietly, trying to help her bond with somebody. My friend was laying on the ground, nearly asleep, not long ago and she came out and nosed him a bit, but ran when he moved. We're hoping she picks a human soon. It's so sad to see her just laying there afraid all the time.
We rescued Samson from an abusive home a couple months ago. He was scared, wouldn't let anybody touch him and terribly underweight. This is him today:
