i just enjoy shooting them. i compete in ipsc, and just a fun hobby. also use them for protection if the need ever arises. hopefully it doesnt, but id rather have them and never need them than need them, and not have them

Well, considering that I'm a minor and the son of a Liberal, I don't own any guns. But, being raised on various video games, I've been brainwashed into taking an interest and maybe when I'm old enough I'll hit the shooting ranges occassionally. It'll probably be one of those temporary fascinations, though.

if you enjoy them more power to yeah i like guns and yes i think teaching kids/family about them is a good thing Bacon and i are taking my oldeat grand 10 now to shoot skeet, Bacon got his first shotgun on his 16th birthday but started shooting at around 6 .

Sorry, I'm really trying not to annoy you about this but I feel this strongly about this matter, did that kid who shot dead 30 odd people benefit himself and society because he learnt how to shoot a gun properly? I have no problem with people shooting, I just don't see why guns can't be kept at gun clubs or you can't just practice shooting on video games ect. Don't get me wrong, I've shot a real gun myself and it is enjoyable but I wouldn't trust myself to own a gun as I'm that mentally unstable there woulds be a real chance of me using it on someone. Unlike my country I live in, it would be easy for me to pick up one on the black market in America (I wouldn't have a chance in hell of getting one there legally) which makes me think something is seriously wrong.

if one wants to kill thers nothing you can do about it if a killer can't get a gun he'll just make a bomb or start stabing people , now i wont tell you how to live or protect your family so please don't tell me how to protect mine, plus i like to hunt with my son .

I have no problem with hunting, I just don't see how semi automatics and hand guns are any good for this. I've freaked out on people before with other weapons but I didn't kill anyone because I didn't have the means to shoot them. I caught someone breaking into my house once and ripped half his face off with a bike chain. It was very nasty and I'm not proud of this but he lived to tell another story. I'm not critising you for hunting, I just don't see the need for hand guns, semi automatics and why anyone who dosen't hunt would need any kind of guns and bullets in their home.

to bad ya didnt kill the guy when he broke in. hes probably brokin in to many other places since then and has cost other people lots of money. no need for idiots like that here. your right too, if your fucked up, you souldnt have a gun, but if i wanted to kill a binch of people and didnt have a gun, ill find a way to kill them, whether its a knife or simply running over them with my car or truck. guns dont kill people. it amazes me how people are scared of an inanimate object. the gun itself cannot get up and pull its own trigger.

ive got guns. i got a Winchester 30-30 rifle and little 20 gauge shotgun. i use my guns to hunt for deer, turkey or even the occasional squirrel. i suck at shotting...lol. oh and i really dont feel like taking pics of em at the moment. but if you want me too i guess i can...

Why do you think it is? If guns wen't so readily available maybe you wouldn't feel the need to keep a gun to protect yourself? Just a thought. No need for anyone to get all arsy about this, I'm just trying to have a debate based on reason and facts. There are things you are passionate about but I didn't ever start getting angry with you about it. Lets try and at least keep this friendly ok? I've got a lot of respect for you Homer even if some of your views are completely opposed to mine.

how do you like the 30-30 i'm thinking about getting a marlin or browning 30-06 lever action .
