What are your thoughts on the subject?

When you send a PM, do you expect an immediate reply if the receiver is on site? How much of a delay is acceptable?

What if they don't reply? :ninja

When you receive a PM, do you always reply and if so..... right away? Whenever you get around to it?

Do you feel obligated to reply? Do you feel guilty if you don't reply?

Could you actually care less if you reply or not?

If you receive PM's from members that you'd much rather not.... are you the type who can say something to them without hurting their feelings? Or is it better to just pretend the PM never made it to you? What if the sender won't let up?

For those of you who send me PM's thus far.... I have no issues with you. Don't panic. I'm just taking a consensus on what's going on behind the scenes with others and how they handle their in box and their sending habits.

For those of you I send PM's to thus far..... you know who you are.... Don't panic. Unless of course you keep me waiting too long..... :mad :cool ;)

So people..... speak up. Spill it here. Don't be shy. Let it all out. Get it off your chest. :D

PM's are not required to be answered right away...its usually acceptable to wait up to 24 hours for some. others answer quite promptly....I do like to have a reply to my PM's
never had a repeater on a PM...gosh, a lot of questions for one subject....
but thank you for allowing me to answer your question(s)

I always reply to a pm but I do it based on a couple of things...
) how busy I am with off-internet stuff. My personal at home life comes first.:)
) Content :24:
) Who sent it. :ninja
) Do I need to think before I reply. :surrender

are you still whining :D

Well.... Based on that answer, it's apparent you have kept RedRyder waiting at times..... Quite impatiently I might add. You know I long to hear your witty humor and knowledgeable thoughts on all subjects that we manage to cover.

..... and let me make a note here.... I can go on and on in PM's.... I'm talking many words of very worthy conversation... and this man (you froggykins) will reply with eight words..... or less.....

..... and yet.... most of the time I understand him. :cool

...... although at times I think you avoid answering certain topics due to your uncanny fear of...... me. ;)

the only time i really expect a reply is when i ask a question. beyond that it's up to them to reply or not.

What are your thoughts on the subject?

I love pm's.

When you send a PM, do you expect an immediate reply if the receiver is on site? How much of a delay is acceptable?

My receiver is typically invisible as I am. I know what his day is like so I have no expectations. The others? I love them one and all and if they do not reply, it is fine. Real life is Real Life.

What if they don't reply? :ninja

No worries. No expectations.

When you receive a PM, do you always reply and if so..... right away? Whenever you get around to it?

I do my very best. If things get in the way I try to catch up as soon as possible.

Do you feel obligated to reply? Do you feel guilty if you don't reply?

I always reply. And as soon as I can. No guilt.

Could you actually care less if you reply or not?

No, of course not. I love that somebody cared enough to type to me.

If you receive PM's from members that you'd much rather not.... are you the type who can say something to them without hurting their feelings? Or is it better to just pretend the PM never made it to you? What if the sender won't let up?

Have not really had that happen except for fishing pm's. Or at least ones that I felt were out of the norm from people that never contacted me in the first place, either in posts on the forum or just general "how do you dos" behind the scenes. But I would never turn those down either. I don't think I have ever let a pm go. :D

For those of you who send me PM's thus far.... I have no issues with you. Don't panic. I'm just taking a consensus on what's going on behind the scenes with others and how they handle their in box and their sending habits.

No worries, Sunshine!! I love ya!! I haven't pm'd you but if I want a bedtime story in the near future, I KNOW I'll be waiting in line!! :D

I'm good. No worries about the pm stuff. :D

I sometimes forget to reply but I don't do it to be mean or becuase I'm ignoring someone. I read the PM and then go and do something else and I just forget.

I don't normally get many PMs though.

If there's a point to it, I'll reply as soon as I see it. Some PMs dont really have a point to them that needs answering, anyway, so I'll leave them. Some people try and chat through PMs too and someone has to end the conversation by not replying and it's usually me.
