Came in with 50, left with 55. lol

Good times, I never dipped into my second tray of 25 bucks, and at one point I had 75 plus in chips. I was playin with some serious poker players too. The Ex mayor, my dad, my dads two buddies, my coworker bobby and my dads other friend who owns his own business.

I was coming up with two pairs like there was no tomorrow, and I only won a few of them.

We played a whole bunch of variations, texas holdem, five card draw/stud, push, 7 card, etc.

All in all I think my favorite one was 7 card. I remember taking my dad out a few times when he had three of a kind (queens) while I had a nice straight to the ace going on. haha

That same hand I had a straight all the way through. 9 to ace, can't believe that happened. I came up with a 3 of a kind on aces quite a few times.

All in all I had a great time doing it, my dad said he was worried about my needing more money, but he was the one who had to buy in after losing his first 25. lol

My dads friend (ronnie) put down 100 after buying in twice and walked out with 30 in cash. Glad I didn't have to do that.

Love playing cards with friends - funny thing is that after a while it becomes obvious that it's not about the money but about spending time with friends.

The other point is that after 15 years of playing, the money goes around in circles - sometimes you win & sometimes you lose. I think it would be different in Vegas.

Yeah we play with like 15-20 friends every sunday night. Always a good time and play until like 2 am sometimes when we play more than one game. Plus we play 10$ buy in and for a sunday night among friends that is not bad money if you win. Of course, it turns out to be a party on sundays as well, cuz the people that don't play lots of Hold em just come over to hang out and drink....LOL...always a good time.. :D

Re: RE: Played some Poker yesterday.

*smiles* I like that this was pointed out!

4 years back, I ALWAYS had people over to my house. We would play Penny Poker. After a while, I had to upgrade to a larger jar. lol The the fun that we had just hanging out with one another was the reason we were there in the first place. Good ol' Bowling Lane... <edith bunker>Those were the daaaaaaaaaaaaays...</edith bunker>

Same thing here. On Thursday nights, we have a $20 buy in and we get like 8-10 friends with beer at my apartment. Fun times.

About an hour and a half into it, had I bought out I woulda been up 25 bucks too. I won the LAST hand we played, which is good otherwise I woulda lost 20 bucks total. lol

Oh well, I basically broke even and now I'm using my 55 for lunch and cigs this week. :D
