Pissed off

So Riley bit a man today. And I actually think she was a good girl for it, which makes me feel guilty.

We were on the patio, and she walks on the little brick wall. This guy came by, going into the building, and said Hi Puppy. So on his way back out, he stopped to pet her. Rather than do the reach, wait, sniff, approve thing, he just reached out and grabbed her mouth! (I've only just gotten to where I can touch her face without her shying away.)

I'm really really pissed off that he did that to her! They made friends before she and I went in, but he was weird, and creepy and I wish Matt wasn't sleeping so he could have been there.

I did apologize, but only as an afterthought, and I'm not sure I meant it.

Yeah I would have a hard time with that too, you don't just grab a strangers dog. I thought it was just common sense to let them sniff you first and then come to you etc etc. I do it with cats and dogs, just to be sure :p

Good for Riley haha :)

Hotty, nowadays with the sue happy people be glad he didn't threaten to sue. I have a neighbor that constantly hollars about my dogs, they are little ones and very protective of our property and especially don't like men.

This neighbor is a woman but she acts like an aggressive man and Rocky chased her when THEY went thru our yard. I don't think she would have had a case, but still, who wants the headache.

It's a strange world now a days....

The thought has crossed my mind that he might. His granddaughter lives in this building and he's trying to see his youngest great granddaughter (who's like 2 and he's never seen). He said he was in insurance or something and this was his region.

I'm sorry, but there is bound to be a reason he's never seen the youngest. I am a little scared because he does know where I live. And I have no witnesses. But if someone talks to ANYONE who has met Riley, and that's a LOT of people, they know she's a sweetheart.

why will you go and pat a dog you do not know or any animal
before you are even sure how they act even a good pet will turn to a stranger sometimes if feel uncomfortable

one xmas we were at my in-laws house the sister in-law brought their dog with them
we were out in the yard and we were talking close where the dog was anyway then they been silly my husband and few others and teasing a little the dog someone try to get the food away from the dog he had a bone i was closer and the dog almost bit me that day he scratch me a little but i said didn't got me

to me is no matter how good an animal is i have 2 rules do not go near it if eat and make it feel you getting the food and not touching strangers pets with out asking the owner or be sure it is safe

even the most great animal will tun if feel uncomfortable or threaten

:homo: But people don't always have common sense and a lot of them are the ones who are the first to cry foul when things they cause go awry....

People like that bug me. My grandma used to have a parrot. Some guy she knew came over one day and was like 'oh! a parrot! I'll pet it'. Jill (the parrot) had her feathers ruffled, squaking, and backing up slowly with her beak open. It was obvious where her stance on this guy was, but yet he kept coming. Then my grandma popped up and was like 'uhh, she will bite you', but the guy was all 'no animals love me!'. Jill tore his hand up.

It's like he wanted Jill to submit. Weirdo.
