It's funny that a lot of people think fans flock to Pink Floyd and Waters concerts for the drug atmosphere. They're legitimately awesome live.

I was gonna buy tickets to a show down in Atlanta a couple years ago...they had the laser show and all that...but they were around $600 for two tickets.:eek

I could well imagine. Never been fortunate to see them live other than the concerts on DVD but if I got the chance I surely would love to be there front row.

I haven't been to any Waters concerts, but the Division Bell tour came through Winnipeg (can you believe it?LOL) so my cousin dragged me to it. I was a punk, so I figured it was just an occasion to get high and meet some milfs, but they blew my mind. LOL

Owned it for many years.
Was just thinking about putting it in lol

Makes you feel like putting it on in true eh?

The first album I had of Pink Floyd was The Wall (double CD set). Was amazed at basically all the songs on the album. Later on when Roger did the movie for it I bought it on DVD and had no regrets. Couldn't believe how good it was and have looked at it over and over in surround sound.

Additionally I have The Pulse and a good couple of their DVDs including Roger Waters and band in concert. That concert tour "In The Flesh" is really really good.

Yeah, would be expensive but what an experience.

Great concert! But to be honest, I don't think all that much is lost from the audio experience in the live DVDs. You're getting the best sounds they made during their tours. The concert is awesome, but it's ultimately about the tunes.

Gilmore's performance of Money on page #1 is really good with the saxaphonist.
I like Roger's band performance of it too especially with the guitar solos.
Great song...both renditions hard to pick a favorite. Still I'd like to give the edge to Roger's band for the guitar solos. Here it is. Compare.

Again from "In the Flesh" tour.

Pink Floyd, one of my absolute favorites. I wasn't one of those who sat there laughing, high off my ass, while watching "The Wall, either.

After I learned what it was all about, and his background, what the songs, and the images meant, I felt there was no way I could laugh at something as painful as that story.

Oh yes! Got to include this from The Division Bell. Awesome band:clap Syd Barrett used to live up the road from me in Cambridge.

I don't know that song Pete. Is that Syd singing? Doesn't sound like Roger or David.

rock and blues 2005 ,i was working and next to the stage ,i woke up to the sound check for this ...only australian pink floyd ,so good waters lets them use the original pink floyd stage set ,amazing

Whoa. Those women have quite a range there Debbs. Interesting.
