Jace wants one and i think they are really cute! i saw the other day that Walgreens is now selling them so now i dont have to call to order and pay S&H LoL
I looked them up.
I think it's sad that at the ages of 3-8 kids are so hooked on a brand over the actual toy. As far as I can see, a Pillow Pet is a stuffed animal lol

The ladybug thing made me think of A Bug's Life where the ladybug says, Oh since I'm a ladybug I must be a lady. But then I looked and it's billed as Ms. Lady Bug.
Honestly, though, I wouldn't worry about it as long as he doesn't take it to school. (Let's face it, kids are mean.) But if he wants a ladybug, I don't know if you'd be able to get away with buying a different one and him being okay with it. Do you think he'll remember that he said ladybug?
And those things are so cute!!! I'm trying to remember what it was my brother got his girlfriend, some animal thing. I'll have to look it up.

I got the kidlet one last summer before I even started seeing the ads for them (I actually got it in Disneyland). He loves it, though. It's a panda.

i still have mine and my giga pet!! they both still work too!
I had 3 of them! And furbies.
Both are well and truely dead now. My dog even ate the furbies ears.
i think im the only one who DIDNT have furbies! those things were just creepy! LoL
I never had a furby, my cousin had 2 though. Furbies were better than tamagotchies, you could leave them at home and they wouldn't die.

my mom was just talking about these today I think they are cute and V nothing wrong with a ladybug get him what he wants and try not to fall into the stereo typing of whats girl and boy appropriate.
When we were little I played with my brothers matchbox cars and my older brother played with my dolls! I can't say we turned out "Normal" but we are functioning members of society at least! LOL! Go for the Lady Bug. It's not going to kill him or anything...
