A lot of the places I've been actually refuse to do name tattoos if it isn't your kid's name or something. My friend wanted to get her husband's name, and they actually refused until she explained that, "Well, my son's name is Tom too..."

I always said the only Tatt I would ever get would be a memorial Tat.. I pray I never have to get that.. although the palm tat would kinda be the same thing.

I have a butterfly tattoo on my right shoulder blade. I am planning a few more :)

I've had many piercings done, but my body doesn't respond well to them, so I had to take some out... 3 holes in each earlobe (Only the bottom 2 are stil open), had my navel done twice (took it out), and I've had a hood piercing (Eventually had to take it out too).

My hubby had a PA, but took it out eventualy too.

I recall a chinese tattoo artist, in the US, who got the shits with all the young uni students who came in & asked for the Chinese character for peace or love, or some other random word, so he started tattooing slut, whore & bitch on them, in chinese.

Probably not funny if you were one of them.

Nice work. Does she wiggle when you walk?
I have one tat on my thigh, a heart-shaped rose vine with two roses, blue for my son, red for my daughter. Planning on a second in the spring on the other thigh, in honor of my parents-then I'll be each generation on each leg, me in the middle. I waited over 25 years to get the first one-I was 47. Half of it hurt like hell while the outline was being done-probably a close nerve in that spot; it took over 1.5 hours to do because of all the colors(it's about the size of my hand)

I went with my friend to get his first tatto a few years ago. He got a tat of his girlfriends name and then when we were down the pub straight afterward, she phoned him up to dump him!:eek

I've got the "lower back" one and a belly ring. But dadgumm it! I got my lower back when it wasn't popular lol .. bunch of copy cats I tell ya! lol

I just recently had mine recolored (tanning beds reak havok on them). The first time it didn't hurt too bad or scab over or anything .. this time *wooo* it bruised up something fierce and scabbed over. Took it a month to get back to normal.

thank you. I spent a lot of money on those Vargas girls. I do tattoo competitions with them.
The pain varies depending on where you get the ink. It really isnt too bad. Feels like a fine tip pen dragging on your skin. More annoying than anything. Occasionally you will get a spot that hurts. Take really good care of it or it will go bad. Research all you can about the artists and choose the best one for you. It's worth it!

It's more of a burn sensation than "hurt" imo. Sorta like if you are getting fake nails filled in and they leave teh drill in one place for too long. OR like someone giving you an indian burn on your forearm.

Nope, itt kinda burns (me anyways) while they are doing it, then they spray that green aloe stuff on it and it quits.
