You can't get any closer than I did with Gimp? It was taken with a Canon EOS 20D but just had the standard lens on unfortunately. It was probably 50 to 100 ft away.

What'd you do .. lighten them up?

I suppose they look ok, maybe it's my laptop .. but your version seems to lack the same vibrant color my originals had. They look a tad washed out.

the ones i altered were a little dark and not showing the colours off......also i brought the horses eye into vision a bit more
