I agree that I love all pictures as well. I think Ian would find many more pictures with "Great Shot" from me as well as Guy, Zirc, Siph or anyone else for that matter. I just appreciate people sharing, be it their kids, nature of even a flower..

That said I have a life and can't comment on everything, so sorry.. And I don't take offence with people not commenting on mine..

That's when I use this... :thumbup and it might not necessarily mean it's a great shot. It does mean that I like it though.

As a rule I could care less about the quality of the shot. To me it's the effort that counts and that's why I say things such as " you did good " even though it may have been taken with a cell phone.

Its when there is an abundance of threads with one shot in each that it gets a tad tedious to comment in each and every one.

I love everyones shots, especially yours and Guyz, but would get RSI if I was expected to comment on ALL of them EVERY time in EVERY thread

All due respect, Sky, you've said this before. This is no different than you guys who think newbs are being oversensitive b/c they don't get a response to their posts. I take photos b/c I like to take them...and I'm sorry, although I get what you guys are saying about the effort involved, you don't go through all that to take those photos b/c you think it'll impress us when you post it up on the forum...you do it b/c you LIKE doing it and you like photography, right??? So why rely on other people to encourage you in something you love to do??? I've never understood the mindset. *shrugs*

On a side note, I really think it's pretty uncool that this thread is a specific dig at a particular member...not that it's anything out of the ordinary (in general, not directed at anybody in specific).

This pretty much sums it up for me. Likeminded folks with a similar interest will be more inclined to post commentary than folks who aren't moved by the subject matter. The like minded folks would probably also be able to offer critique both positive and negative.

I don't comment as much as I could, I'll admit that. I agree with Cam, I like looking at the pictures posted but when you log on and there's five or six threads with one or two pics in them each, you run out of ways to say 'nice photo!' or 'great pic!', and some of the time I'm posting before I go to work so I'm not full of time to click through several different topics.

If you've had a whole day of taking pics, I'd try posting a big topic about it with all of them in, so people can talk about them in one place. When I went to the zoo I put them all in one place, even though I could have had fifteen different topics called 'lions yawning' and 'penguins swimming'.

Mh, as you (should) know, skyblue, I really appreciate your photos; every picture you take. And usually, I try to comment on pictures (not only your pictures, but in general whenever I like a picture).

But the last few days I've been a bit busy and a bit weary what made me just hanging around in the arcade from time to time (and that is why I've been very silent in general, not only regarding your pictures).

I would really miss your pictures, if you don't post them anymore.

Last but not least, I hope you allow me to be straight: don't be so uhm..susceptible (I hope I've found a non-offending word :ninja)? I think, you know which people here admire your works. So why don't you concentrate on them instead of awaiting bunches of comments? Art is always a complicated thing that doesn't catch everyone's attention.

And to repeat: I'd find it a sad thing, if you're pictures weren't posted here anymore.

I am trying to get myself into the habit of looking at all the picture threads and posting at any chance I get. Recently tho with the site coming with errors and had been slow too- photography section is taking forever to load. I know I have missed a few threads including the link you've posted on your OP! Tbh, It's one of my fave among the bugs you've taken :thumbup

I did think when I posted that, that I know of one member who can't view loads at once.

Still.... pretty much everyone else can, so I guess it depends on whether you've got more of an interest in one person's comments or many, and as far as I know Sky doesn't have the same investment in that one person's opinion as you do, so...

I admit i comment very little on photos but i hate saying the same thing good pic ..great photo..
i understand nice to see some response sometime from people.... but even if not ...does not mean they don't like them

I am not really much with bugs ...but your photos are fantastic
