Photography is one of my interests, and every now, and then I enter my photos in amateur photography competitions. There is a competition coming up, and I would like to submit a photo to the "nature" catergory in this competition...I've managed to narrow down to two choices from about ten, but cannot decided upon which one out of the two I should submit--if any at all.

So, I would like some opinions on which one of the two I should submit to the competitions...or, even if I should not submit either of them.

Obviously the actual photo that I submit will be larger.

Both are really nice. My husband is really into photography and I showed both to him and he said hed go with the second one... the bird has the thing around its leg... not that it matters but maybe people will think its in a zoo and not in nature. Anyway, they are both really nice pics!

Acrualy if that was taken in the wild the tag would make it that mutch more rare. ONly a small percentage of birds are tagged. I realy like both photos but the first one is sutch a hard photo to get I would have to go with it.

The photo of the egret (first pic) was taken at a wildlife sanctuary where the birds are free to come and go, but they try to tag as many of particular species as they can. I'm going to have peruse the conditions of entry again, however, as far as I am aware the subject of the photo must pertain to nature...so, I don't think the tag would make the egret photo ineligible.

y not both

It's only one photo per person. :( It was hard enough for me to whittle down to two choices...so, I would love to be able to enter both.

don't get me wrong I liek the other one as well but the second pic is just wow

That photo was one of a series I took around Uluru, Kings Canyon, Painted Desert area in central Oz, you should put that on your visting list for your visit here.

I think I took approx. 30 odd pics of the egrets, and that, plus one other, were the only decent shots, lol.

I like the second pic the best, both because it's a great shot and it makes me want to visit that place.

I like both of them, but I'd choose the first one. I love the contrast, just makes it so beautiful

I did a thorough check of the rules, and the egret sporting the leg tag doesn't rule it ineligible. Apparently you can even enter pics of your humble old felis catus and alike can be entered...hmmm.

I'm leaning towards entering the egret photo...however, I went through the photos I had already decided against, and there is one that I am not so sure I should discount...
