To me, that's outside the scope...but, then again, I would support a no editing rule, myself. To each his own.
I'll revisit the rules / intro thread later on Sunday to expand on what exactly 'minimal' means though.
With or without the effects, #2 is a very nice composition. It's definitely one of the options on my shortlist.
I allowed number two because it seemed 'minimal' to me, as it's the kind of simple technique you can do on a phone app :dunno

Number 2 is a good photo and I like it but beyond the minimal chopping rule...
