Just because we eat meat and wear fur doesn't mean we have to be inhumane.

Kill the animal, then skin it. There are furriers that don't have mercy for these creatures. Animals are a source of food and clothing but that doesn't excuse cruelty. We don't have to torture them before we eat and wear them. Just make sure they're dead first.

Being humane isn't crazy or too much to ask. I'm not against eating and wearing them but I am against live skinning or any form of torture or misery for these creatures. And if you support live skinning, you're an asshole.

And that commercial is retarded.

PETA wants to murder my children? I don't know PETA that well so where's the source that says they want to kill little kids?

I would never wear fur, no matter how humanely the animal was killed. I don't believe we should be killing animals to make coats and shoes, to me, that's just cruel.

I don't like the fact the animals I eat haven't been killed in the most humane way, but I wouldn't become a vegetarian. I like meat - and I have to eat it for health reasons.

PETA need to grow up and accept that people are going to eat meat, and they are going to wear fur coats.

I think that's what PETA was counting on. Make an ad that gets rejected, you don't have to pay $3 million for 30 seconds, and look at the exposure they're getting.

I am just going nicely to disagree with you here :D because up until a few months ago I agreed with you. And then I went on my first conversational trip to the arctic.

I was able to speak to the top scientists and conversationalists; and I was able to talk to inuit hunters and trappers. I found out that after PETA and Greenpeace started attacking the fur industry in Canada, all the different species went into a bad decline and some even came to the brink of distinction. The truth is, hunting and trapping is needed for the ecosystem to stay healthy.

Inuits also need the fur industry to stay Inuits. They use the money to live a basic lifestyle and without it are forced to move into the city and work a poor job. Economically the fur industry in Canada is also of the upmost importance.

I just wanted to explain this to you because not many people know about it. People like PETA just prey on your emotions to get the extreme agendas met.

They say 'Look at the cutesy deer and the evil hunter guy killing him for fun' but they never tell you that the evil hunter is succesful 10% of the time or that his family relies on his kills to live the lifestyle their family has lived for generations.

They don't tell you that hunting raises the most money for conservation or that it is used to keep populations in check and whenever we have had a decline in hunting an immediate decline in the ecosystem also occurs simuteaneasly.
