All of east/southeast Texas counties have been under burn bans for MONTHS straight, wildfires have been popping up destroying homes and millions of acres (millions is not an exaggeration!) left and right, its been dry as hell since about March. a rain shower here and there, but its so dry the ground soaks it up in no time. obviously not enough to lift burn bans!

With the upcoming holiday, its been passed to ban the selling and use of all fireworks. understandable! huge relief at that! and yet, people are complaining!? really!? people care less enough to risk homes, land, and lives just for some meaningless fireworks!?

People are so funny about stuff like that. I mean, I get that you're USED to being able to have fireworks on the 4th of July...but things change. And I would bet a lot of them have no clue just how easy it would be to start a wildfire w/ those fireworks. Guarantee there will be tons of people shooting them off still and someone is going to cause a fire. I hope those who do will get fined heavily.

We have the same issue here in AZ but we still have all the stands set up every where selling them. Even though we have 3 huge fires burning throughout the state. I dont get it.

Purchasing or lighting of fireworks has been illegal here in NJ for awhile unless you have a permit. It doesn't seem to stop people at all though.

Not a lot of common sense...people are inconsiderate for the most part, and willing to push the envelope as far as they can if it's what they want.

We have a ban here, people go to the State Line or to Indian Reservations every year. I think though it's especially ludricious in AZ I mean their wildfires are horrible this year!

Yes they are. But look at the stupid stuff my Gov lets us do. So I agree it should be banned.

Isn't it against your constitution to ban it or something? I'm guessing if it's everyones right to own guns they have the right to own fireworks too. Maybe that's what they are getting all anal about? I know Americans get all pissy if they think the constitution is being violated.

There are several states fireworks aren't legal in. Georgia just has legalized fireworks for personal use...and even then they can't be aerials!!!
