I'm suggesting, not telling, you can bring up jesus all you like, but then i'll bring up my views on religion, and you might find those somewhat insulting

lol..............................................Read what I said above. I believe what I believe. What you or anyone else believes is THEIR choice. I couldn't care less.

No reason for women to breast feed in public. I shouldn't be asked, if I am offended by it, to allow the intrusion to continue.

A woman breast feeding in public is not going to harm you in anyway. It may be of great inconvinience to the woman though if her baby is hungry and it's hard to find a private place to breast feed at the time. You cant just tell the baby to wait. I'm going to take the womans side in this one.;)

It's really tough to breastfeed on the go. You want to give your baby the best start with breastmilk, yet, other may find it uncomfortable.

As a woman, I say that breastfeeding mothers should use a tad bit of discretion, as the US is not as free in this display as other countries are. You alone, are not going to change the nation's opposing views on this, so get some breastfeeding blankies and relax. When you're exposed, you are creating an uncomfortable situation for yourself, since you know that there are people who don't like it, and that just makes for an unpleasant experience. It should be a relaxing moment for both mother and child.

Your comparing a woman feeding her child to taking a shit on a table, what is so dirty about a woman feeding a baby naturally?

It's two kinds of exposure, that are considered inapporpriate. Obviously one's more inapprpriate than the the other, but nonetheless.

What do you think is wrong with breast feeding in public? If the mother feels comfortable, what's the problem?

Its a matter of public vs private. In private, you can do whatever you want to do, however, in public, you have to concider others opinions. We do have social mores and it describes what is and is not acceptable behavior. Like Elle said, there are blankets, etc. a woman can use, she doesn't need, and I shouldn't be asked to tolerate, to flop her boob out right then and there. Cover up with a blanket or something.

What makes it innapropriate for a mother to feed her child in the natural way? Why would you get offended by that?

I am still waiting for one of you to tell me why its inappropriate...

You asked those questions, after I already posted this:

Are you trying to start an arguement? I myself, don't find it offensive, BUT I am aware that many others do. So, instead of trying to force it upon people, knowing I cannot change a a nation's views, I will simply use a bit of discretion.

See? I just repeated myself...

Different people have different views on that, it's not universal, and if someone gets offended by a natural biological function that is not harming them AT ALL IN ANY WAY then it't their problem, not anyone elses

That's their problem then, if they're insecure about it, it's not anyone elses problem but theirs

Just as it's rude to forcibly share your views on religion to people who didn't ask to hear them, it's equally rude to forcibly share your beliefs on human exposure.

I did it out of respect.

You came to MY thread about MY opinion on human exposure so you would expect to hear MY views, if you don't like them, no-one is forcing you to read it or stay. Also, you shared your views on religion, so by your logic you're rude.

Unless, and this is the part that you seem to be missing, society deems it inappropriate.
