The fact that she didn't kill someone while drink driving is besides the point. It was only a matter of luck that she didn't, not because she didn't do anything as bad as someone who did kill someone while drink driving!

Driving a car (a 2,000+ pound weapon) while under the influence of any mind altering drug/alcohol is AGAINST THE LAW. That means if you break the law there are these things called CONSEQUENCES. Paris Hilton BROKE THE LAW and there are CONSEQUENCES for that. She DID DESERVE to go to JAIL. And if she continues to not learn her lesson the CONSEQUENCES will become more severe. Hopefully the consequences will not involve the death of an innocent person. Driving a car is not a right, it is a responsibility, and one that can be taken away from you if aren't mature to enough to realize the seriousness of your actions.
